Full-frame and high resolution:
The Sony IMX455 sensor offers true full-frame with 24x36 mm dimensions and a diagonal of 43.3 mm. With 3.76 μm pixels, even fine details, such as in galaxy arms, can be resolved. A gigantic field and a high resolution - that's what the 62 MP sensor offers.
Back Illumination Technology:
Sony's rear-exposed CMOS image sensor improves sensitivity and noise reduction – the key factors in improving image quality, while radically realigned the basic pixel structure from front to back exposure. The advantages of CMOS image sensors, such as low power consumption and high operating speed, have been retained.
Backside exposure improves light capture while increasing the amount of light. This makes significantly shorter exposure times possible and leads to improved quantum efficiency of up to 91%. Sony has developed a unique photodiode structure and an on-chip lens optimized for rear-exposed structures, resulting in higher sensitivity and lower random noise without light by reducing noise, dark current and defective pixels compared to the traditional front-exposed
structure.
No amplifier glow:
Conventional CMOS sensors produce a weak infrared light source during operation, which is often seen in the corners of uncalibrated images as signs of the "glow of the amplifier". Since the ASI6200MM Pro uses a zero-amp glow circuit, you don't have to worry about the amp glow or amplifier glow even when using highly amplified, long-exposed images.
Built-in anti-dew heater
- The ASI6200 Pro comes with the polyimide heating element, which can avoid any condensation problems.
- The anti-dew heater, which fits completely on the protective screen, heats it up a bit to avoid condensation problems.
- The power of the anti-dew heater is about 5 W. It can be switched on and off in the software to save electricity.
This camera requires 1 amp minimum (even during uncooled operation), which is a problem for USB sockets on computers, because they are only designed for 900 mA, i.e. 0.9 Amps, therefore a 12V power supply is required to use this camera (sold separately).
