The Bresser Messier MC-152 Maksutov-Cassegrain excells at detailed lunar and planetary observations and astrophotography. One of the main advantages of the Maksutov design is its robustness and compact size, making it ideal for trips to dark sky locations.
The long focal length of this telescope and wider aperture offers more flexibility for higher magnification and a wider option of small deep space targets such as the remnants of a gigantic stellar explosion (in the year 1054) in the constallation Taurus or the Whirlpool Galaxy in Ursa Major or even the Dumbell Nebula in the constellation Vulpecula.
The high rigidity of the EXOS-2 EQ5 mount allows for more stable and relaxed observations and is an ideal platform for those looking for a more capable mount for visual astronomy. A Star Tracker kit is also available to upgrade the mount to a full GOTO system.
