For taking astronomical photos we recommend using the Bresser Micro Motion Head MH-100 (Polar-Wedge), as this allows you to polar align the tripod - essential for accurate star tracking. This allows the astrophoto mount to be set in EQ mode and to be able to rotate the saddle-mounted camera precisely against the earth's rotation keeping the stars in pinpoint shape even with longer exposures.
