This larger OAG is the latest variant with a larger prism size of 12x12 mm. The larger free opening brings a larger field of view when guiding. It is easy to use and suitable for users who are interested in photography with a longer focal length telescopes. To take full advantage of this accessory, ZWO recommends combining it with large format cameras.

Features:

  • Lightweight and high quality, 17.5 mm thickness
  • Prism size: 12x12 mm
  • The effective translucent aperture is 11.7mm *
  • 8.3mm.
  • Can be used to connect the main camera and tracking camera at the same time. No guide telescope required.
  • Comes with an M48 tilt adapter (5mm).

Instructions for use:

  1. For guiding, the OAG-L can only be used with ASI Mini cameras such as ASI174MM Mini, ASI290MM Mini and ASI120MM Mini.
  2. Considering the large prism size, ZWO does not recommend using OAG-L with telescopes whose optical path is smaller than M48.
  3. It is recommended to use it together with the 2" EFW or the 7x36 mm EFW as well as with APS-C cameras (ASI2600) or full-frame cameras (ASI6200/2400).
  4. If the thread of your telescope side is M48, you do not need to remove the M48 tilt adapter supplied with this OAG. Otherwise, you will need to remove it and use a different tilt adapter on the corresponding thread of your telescope.

OAG Spec:

  • Connection to telescope: M48x0,75 female thread
  • Connection on the camera side: For ZWO EFW 2" or 36 mm
  • Optical path with tilt adapter: 22.5 mm
  • Optical path without tilt adapter: 17.5 mm
  • Optical path with tilt adapter (5 mm), optional EFW (20 mm) and optional cooled camera (12.5 mm): 55 mm
  • Prism size: 12mm x 12mm
  • Free opening prism: 11.7mm x 8.3mm
  • Suitable guiding cameras: ASI Mini Cameras

Please note:
If you install the OAG-L in your optical beam path, please make sure that the prism does not block the camera sensor. You can use the guide screw to adjust the focus length of the tracking camera.

Please make sure that the distance from the prism to the main camera and the tracking camera is the same.
