Widefield Photography is a very enjoyable form of Astrophotohgraphy which uses minimal equipment for taking widefield photos of the night sky all year round.
With a light star-tracker for example, coupled with a regular DSLR camera, long exposure photos can be obtained, capturing beautiful nightscape images and widefield views of nebulae and star fields in so much more detail than visible with the naked eye.
