TS-Optics full Autoguiding Set for Astrophotography:
This complete set is everything you need to get setup for Autoguiding and long exposure deep space astrophotography. It consists of a compact 50mm Guide tube (Ideal for Autoguiding using imaging scopes up to 1000mm F/L or 8" Aperture) and a powerful autoguiding camera, for long exposures with your telescope.
This complete solution is easy to install and enables active tracking control, also known as autoguiding.
A viewfinder shoe is also included, so you can mount the Guidescope on tube clamps or in a separate place of your telescope. The software for the ASI120 Mini guide camera is suitable for a number of different Autoguiding software packages including PHD Guiding, Guidedog, Metaguide, Guidemaster (Freeware) or AstroArt, MaxIm DL (chargeable).
Step-by-Step Setup:
- Attach the Guidescope & Camera to the main OTA
- Use the ST-4 autoguider socket of your mount to connect the guide camera and your mount (Your mount needs to be ST4 compatible)
- Connect the tracking camera to your Windows computer and connect to your guiding software of choice.
- Focus the guide camera with the focuser - and you're ready to start astrophotography. Note: this is a brief overview and exact steps will vary depending on what Guiding software you decide to use.
