Solar observation in H-alpha is the most spectacular way to see the suns constantly changing features, including Sunspots, Solar Flares and other features on its surface. This H-Alpha solar telescope has a 40mm aperture with a half-width of < 0.7 Angtröm - B600 blocking filter and Helical focuser.
The LS40THa/B600 is a complete telescope for observing the Sun in H-alpha light, with 40mm free aperture (no central obstruction) and 400mm focal length.
The Etalon filter with mechanical tilt tuning achieves a half-value width of <0.7 Angström and focusing is done using a 1.25" helical focuser. The zenith mirror contains the blocking filter is internally and is equipped with a holder for 1.25 inch eyepieces. This telescope's ease of use and simple setup makes it ideal for getting started with H-Alpha solar observation.
Note: Lunt Solar telescopes come with B500, B600 & B1200 filters with the larger ones providing a wider field of view and less shading on the edges. These telescopes are ideal of visual observation of the Sun however as they have a very small back focus, only cameras with a very sort distance to the sensor can be used for photography.
